Italian envoy assures development of Bangladesh’s RMG industry

Italy will continue to cooperate and support sustainable development of Bangladesh’s apparel industry, said Enrico Nunziata, Italian ambassador to Bangladesh, on Sunday.

The envoy gave the assurance during a meeting with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association president Faruque Hassan at his office in the capital.

Nunziata lauded the developments of Bangladesh’s apparel industry, especially in the areas of safety, sustainability and social compliance.

Faruque thanked the Italian government for its friendly support for the betterment of the RMG industry.

BGMEA Vice President Md Shahidullah Azim, Vice President Miran Ali and Vice President Rakibul Alam Chowdhury were present in the occasion.
