20 Bangladeshis nominated for Global Peace Award 2021

The Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Forum and the Digital Social Innovation Forum have nominated 48 people including 20 Bangladeshis for the Global Peace & Humanitarian Award 2021 in recognition to their contribution in establishing peace and humanity.

The award will be handed over to 48 creative entrepreneurs and leaders in 6 categories on September 21, the International Day of Peace at Crown Plaza in Dubai, said a press release.

Some 1,675 people from 31 countries applied for the award.

The Bangladeshi nominees are Shamim Ahmed Mridha,founder of Eco-network, Ayan Muminul Hoque, founder of Save Sylhet, Tanmay Pal Chowdhury, teacher, cultural worker in Bangladesh, Md Arifur Rahman Shafait ,founder of Dream Foundation, Akida Bintee Islam Nooha, Head of marketing at Seize the Day, Dr Md Rifat Al Mazid Bhuiyan, executive director of the Center for Psychotraumatology and Research, Mohammad Saifullah Mithu, co-founder and president at Give Bangladesh, HM Marjan founder of Do For Bangladesh, Md Tanvir Hasan founder of Protyush, Team Bertho, Taheatul Jannat founder of Nondita Surokkha, Saifullah Khaled, founder and president of Help The Future, Azajul Islam Neloy founder of One of You, ASM Sadman Sakib, founder and director of Engineers Hub, Md Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury, CEO at International Council of Wheelchair Cricket, youth entrepreneur Sajia Afrin Sultana, and Md Ayman Mahmud, founder of Bangladesh Youth Mental Health Awareness Foundation.
