The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh launched “Automation of One-Stop Connectivity to ICAB” on Saturday to connect its members, students and stakeholders from a single point of digital system.

Chief Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Affairs to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO)

Zuena Aziz inaugurated the system virtually while ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA delivered the welcome speech.

Zuena said, “We are going to the age of the fourth industrial revolution where everything will be governed by technology. It is easy to find and enter, in a moment, into the institutes or organisations in other parts of the world just by logging in through its website. How easy it is!”

She also said that the education sector has dramatically changed with the arrival of information technology. Computers and the internet help a lot to run the business correctly and generate expected outcomes.

“During this pandemic time, students have become used to ICT as they attend online classes. Our educational institutions should come up with IT solutions for learnings,” she said.

Zuena hoped that the automation of one-stop connectivity to ICAB would be very resourceful and swiftly provide services to its students and stakeholders.

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru said that one thing is clear, what is happening today is the natural course of global economic development. “As a result of being an integral part of the financial system, accounting and auditing services can’t stand to avoid these wider trends.

“ICAB’s one-stop connectivity virtually eliminates the overburden of manual tasks of the institute,” he added.

He also said it is more important to provide ICAB’s service to the doorstep of their students and members from a single point.

Khusru said, “Every challenge and obstacle come with an inquiry for a change. This change brings in the potential for new opportunities, innovations, and new solutions that help us become even better than we had been before.”

Having a resourceful website makes it very easy for people to find ICAB, discover what it does, and answer many questions about ICAB’s activities. Implementing the right automation technology is the crucial step in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, and it is all about progress, becoming better, more efficient in the long run.

ICAB Council Member and former president Muhammad Farooq presided over the function while council member Md Moniruzzaman, ICAB CEO Shubhashish Bose, and Vice President Maria Howlader also spoke there.
