BGMEA calls on VF Corporation to strengthen partnership with Bangladeshi suppliers

BGMEA President has called on VF Corporation to strengthen partnership with Bangladeshi suppliers.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan met with Sean Cady, Vice President, Global Sustainability and Responsibility at VF Corporation, and Peter Higgins, VF’s Vice President Global Responsible Sourcing in New York on September 22.

Former BGMEA President Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), MP, incumbent Vice President Miran Ali and Director Abdullah Hil Rakib were also present on the occasion.

They discussed matters related to the expansion of VF Corporation’s business in Bangladesh and how relationship with this renowned apparel brand can be developed further in the future.

Faruque Hassan requested VF Corporation to strengthen partnership with its Bangladeshi suppliers to build their capabilities especially in manufacturing apparel and footwear products which have high demand in the market.
