Bangladesh logs 7 more Covid deaths, 247 cases

Bangladesh reported seven new coronavirus-related deaths and 247 infections in a 24-hour period till 8:00am on Thursday.

During this period, the positivity rate slightly increased to 1.32 per cent from Wednesday’s 1.31 per cent.

With this, the daily-case positivity rate in the country remained below 5 per cent for the 16th consecutive day.

In Bangladesh, the daily-case positivity rate reached its peak 32.55 per cent on July 24 this year.

The overall caseload now stands at 15,70,485 and the total fatalities at 27,887 according to the press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 18 ,690 samples at 833 laboratories across the country. Bangladesh has so far tested 1,04,27,877 samples.
