Bangladesh logs 6 more Covid deaths

Bangladesh reported six new coronavirus-related death and 215 infections in a 24-hour period till 8:00am on Monday.

During this period, the positivity rate rose to 1.28 from Sunday’s 1.17 per cent.

With this, the daily-case positivity rate in the country remained below 2 per cent for the 20th consecutive day.

In Bangladesh, the daily-case positivity rate reached its peak 32.55 per cent on July 24 this year.

The overall caseload now stands at 15,71,228, and the total fatalities at 27,901 according to the press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 16,812 samples at 834 laboratories across the country.

Bangladesh has so far tested 1,04,90,412 samples.

Meanwhile, 209 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24-hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,35,034.
