Atlas to sell own-brand motorcycles

Atlas Bangladesh is going to sell motorcycles of its own brand in the market.

The decision was made at the 433rd board meeting of the company at the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) meeting room on Wednesday, said a media release.

Underscoring the past and present condition of the company at the meeting, its Chairman Md Shahidul Hoque Bhuia said Atlas needs to manufacture new motorbikes and increase sales to build a profitable business.

Atlas has to step up advertising to build a stronger position in the market, said Shahidul, also the BSEC chairman.

He also instructed the company’s managing director to take necessary action in this regard.

Independent directors of the company Abul Kasem and Quazi Md Anwarul Hakim, and directors Anwar Hossain and Akhter Hossain were present at the meeting among others while Managing Director Abdul Malek Morol moderated it.

Atlas has been marketing motorcycles in the country for a long time with a good reputation.
