Condominiums attract customers at REHAB Fair

Condominiums offering better security and modern amenities are attracting visitors at the ongoing REHAB Fair 2021.

Assistant Manager (Sales) of Rupayan Housing Estate Limited Md Azharul Islam said their commercial, duplex and condominiums were popular among customers. “We are now getting huge response for our condominiums,” he said.

Azharul said they have condominiums in Uttara and Bashundhara Residential Area. Around 50-60 per cent of apartments have already been sold.

“Concord has already sold all their condominiums,” he said.

Azharul said gated community ensures 3P or Prestige, Protection and Privilege, featuring 360-degree solutions for a complete lifestyle. 

“Our apartment size is 1,485-3,645 square feet and per sqft costs Tk 13,800-16,800,” he said.

According to Navana, the company has condominiums in Mohammadpur and Mirpur. In Mohammadpur, per sqft costs Tk 6,700-7,000, which is Tk 6,500-7,000 in Mirpur. The apartments are between 1,500 and 2,000 sqft.

A Navana official said the demand for apartments had increased much recently. “With rising demand, the prices will also soar,” he said. 

REHAB Director and Managing Director of Abiding Development & Holdings Limited (ADHL) Md Kamrul Islam told The Business Post that the demand for condominiums is very high because residents are getting many facilities at a time.

“The demand is gradually increasing as people’s incomes are going up. It is rise further after LDC graduation,” he said. A total of 220 stalls have been set up at the fair where realtors, building material suppliers, banks and other financial institutions are showcasing their products and services.

Of them, there are two diamond pavilions, six gold sponsors, 22 co-sponsors, 15 building materials and 13 finance investors in the fair.

The fair will remain open from 10am to 9pm every day. The entry tickets cost Tk 50 and Tk 100. The organiser will raffle off exciting prizes every night at the fair, concluding on December 27.

Talking to The Business Post, Assistant General Manager (Sales) of Sheltech (Pvt) Ltd Saydul Mazid said they are getting good responses from customers for condominiums.

“We have condominiums in Mirpur, Uttar Badda and Malibagh. The cost of condos in Mirpur and Uttar Badda is Tk 6,950 per sqft. But those in Malibagh cost Tk 9,850 sqft. Most of our apartments have already been sold,” he said.

Mazid also said a few companies, including Sheltech, Rupayan, Navana, Concord, Bti (building technology & ideas ltd), Rakeen Development Company, and Rangs Properties Limited, construct condominiums.

“Our apartment prices may increase soon as the raw material prices had gone up,” he said.
