ACC sues Jibon Bima MD, AGM over graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed a case against Jibon Bima Corporation’s Managing Director Zahurul Haque and Assistant General Manager Md Mahbubul Alam at ACC Dhaka-1 office on Thursday.

This move came after a commission inquiry team found evidence of corruption centring recruitment at the Jibon Bima Corporation, ACC Secretary Mohammad Mahbub Hossain told the media.

These Jibon Bima officers used to leak requirement test question papers for corporation positions to selected job applicants in exchange for bribes, ACC sources told The Business Post.

A commission probe team will investigate the matter further and take appropriate action against the duo if the allegations of irregularities are proven true.
