Biman Bangladesh Airlines will introduce direct flights between Dhaka and Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates on January 25.

It will initially operate four flights per week on the route.

The state-owned company said in a press release on Thursday ticket sales began at 3pm on that day.

Flight BG51 will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Monday at 10:30pm (local time) from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka and reach Sharjah at 2:15pm (local time).

On the other hand, flight BG152 will depart from Sharjah every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 4am (local time) and reach Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram at 10:45am (local time).

The flight will then leave Chattogram at 11:45am and reach Dhaka airport at 12:30pm.

Passengers will be able to buy tickets from any Biman sales office and the sales centre (24/7) at Balaka headquarters. They can also buy from any authorised travel agency or by dialling the Biman call centre (01990997997).

Besides, they must be present at Dhaka airport at least eight hours before their scheduled departure to complete all activities in line with the travel advisory.
