NBR starts pre-budget talks Feb 6

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will begin pre-budget discussions on February 6 as part of preparing the 2022-23 fiscal year budget. 

Businesspersons and other stakeholders will take part in the discussions at the Rajossho Bhaban in the capital’s Segunbagicha. The talks will continue till March 20.

Four NBR officials have been assigned to assist in preparing the budget. They will act as budget coordinators.

NBR First Secretary (customs exemption and project facilities) Dr Md Neyamul Islam will act as the chief budget coordinator.

The other coordinators are Abdullah Al Mamun, Majedul Hoque, and Md Jahidul Islam. All of them are NBR’s second secretaries.

The coordinators will assist in all budget-related activities, such as bringing budget proposals from various business organisations and associations, research institutes, and individuals concerned.
