Junaid Kamal made VP for operations of WB’s MIGA

World Bank Country Director in India, Junaid Kamal Ahmad has been appointed vice president for the operations of the World Bank’s organization ‘Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

He will assume his new role effective from April 16, 2022, said a MIGA press release issued recently.

The Bangladeshi national Junaid Kamal Ahmad brings to this post deep experience and understanding of international development and an exemplary track record of thought leadership and service to World Bank Group client countries, the release added.

Junaid Ahmad has been the Country Director for the World Bank in India since September 2016. He joined the World Bank in 1991 as a Young Professional and worked on infrastructure development in Africa and Eastern Europe.
