The PHP family has launched the luxury car “Proton X-50” to mark the golden jubilee of independence.
The car was unveiled at a lavish ceremony at the PHP Automobiles factory in the Nayabazar area of Halishahar in Chittagong city on Saturday evening.
PHP Family Chairman Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman presided over the function. Welcoming remarks were made by PHP Automobiles Managing Director Mohammed Akther Parvez.
The PHP chairman inaugurated the Proton X-50 by handing over a key to his wife Tahmina Rahman.
“We have started making cars locally. Locally made cars are running on our roads now,” the founding chairman of PHP Family said at the event.
“With the cooperation of all, the PHP family will become the best industrial organisation in the country in the future. For this we need prayers and cooperation from you all,” he added.
In his welcoming speech, Mohammed Akther Parvez thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for adopting various modern policies in the automobile sector. He also thanked all concerned authorities, including NBR, ministers, secretaries, directors of the PHP family, Proton owners, and administration.
PHP Automobiles started its journey in 2017, gradually adding more and more cars to its lineup. The latest addition, “Proton-X-50” is a state-of-the-art talking car of the SUV category. It is capable of auto parking on voice command. In addition, the car is also capable of automatically turning on the AC, opening the sunroof and windows, and many more tasks through voice command.
Among others, ICT personality Dr Mohammad Kaikobad, ATN Bangla and ATN News Chairman Mahfuzur Rahman, Proton Malaysia’s Badlishah Abdul hapidz, Sajjadanshin Syed Azhar Ali Nizami of Nizam Uddin Aulia Dargah of Delhi, and Syed Saifuddin Al Hasani Al Maizbhandari of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif were also present at the event.
