The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has launched its online-based “Cash Incentive Automation System” to make application procedures faster, transparent and more convenient for readymade garment factories.
It will enable BGMEA members submit their applications online for cash incentives provided by the government to boost and encourage more RMG exports.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan inaugurated the new system at an event at the association’s office in Dhaka’s Uttara on Saturday.
“The world is going through a digital revolution where adapting to the changing trends with the available technologies has become a must to remain competitive in the global market,” said Faruque.
Apart from the Cash Incentive Automation System, he said, BGMEA has already digitized a number of facilities, including Workers’ Biometric Database, UD automation and Membership Management System, to ensure quick, efficient and smooth services to all of its members.
BGMEA has taken these initiatives in line with the government’s vision of Digital Bangladesh, he added.
Recently, BGMEA was honoured with the “WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards” at the 25th World Congress on Information Technology in Sustainable Growth/Circular Economy Award category for using the “Biometric Identity and Worker Information Management System.”
The association has also won the “Digital Bangladesh Award 2021” for introducing the same system.
