BB: Ensure ‘no mask no service’ in banks

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has instructed banks to strictly follow the Covid -19 health guidelines including ‘no mask no service’ policy, to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Department of Off-site Supervision of BB issued a notification on Thursday in this regard and sent it to top executives of all scheduled banks.

The banks will implement the “No Mask No Service” policy. In addition, everyone must maintain social distance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

According to the directive, the scheduled banks have to abide by a number of restrictions as Covid-19 cases are on the rise.

The BB also instructed the banks to ask employees and officers to maintain social distancing and motivate them to undergo Covid-19 test if they have Covid symptoms including fever, runny nose and cough.
