Gold prices up further

Jewellers in the country have increased the gold prices further by Tk 1,050 per bhori (11.664gm), just six days after they hiked the prices of the precious metal. Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association announced the latest hike in all types of gold prices on Wednesday and the new prices will be effective from Thursday.

According to the new rate, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 82,348, which was Tk 81,298 per bhori. On May 21, the price of gold hit a record high of Tk 82,464 a bhori.
