SME Foundation has opened application for the National SME Entrepreneur Award 2022.
Interested qualified entrepreneurs are invited to apply within August 31.
The foundation organises the national award each year to encourage and recognise small and medium entrepreneurs across the country for their contribution to employment generation and socio-economic development of the country.
Consequently, the foundation this year is going to recognise the best of the year in micro, entrepreneur and medium (level) entrepreneur categories with each category holding two awards — one each for male and female.
Furthermore, the foundation will give an award to a local start-up and a special award to an individual for special contribution in entrepreneurial development.
Entrepreneurs relating to production and service can apply for the award but entrepreneurs relating to trading and imports are not eligible.
Interested qualified individuals can apply for their own specific enterprise and they are invited to send their required documents through email or submit directly to the foundation office within the deadline.
Entrepreneurs can only apply for a single enterprise if he or she runs multiple enterprises. Entrepreneurs, owning an enterprise with partners, can apply with their consent. In this regard, the applicant has to submit the consent letter.
Entrepreneurs, except for start-up entrepreneurs, should have a minimum of five years of business operation experience based on trade license as the foundation will consider the applicants’ experience for the award.
Entrepreneurs operating creative, out-dated, export oriented, eco-friendly, and employment generating enterprises will be prioritised in the selection process for the recognition.
