A month-long CMSME Trade Fair is scheduled to kick off today in Chattogram.
Organised by Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI), the fair will take place at Abahani field of Halishahr area in the port city, organisers told a press conference on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, CWCCI Vice President Jesmin Akter said, “The Women Chamber is organising the CMSME Trade Fair in Chattogram for the third time. The month-long fair will be inaugurated on Saturday afternoon, where Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury will be the chief guest.”
She also said, “We organised the fair for the first time in 2021. This year, we have taken initiatives to hold it on a larger scale.
“In total, 300 big and small stalls, and eight pavilions will partake at the event. Besides, women entrepreneurs have been given the opportunity to participate free of cost in some areas. The entrance ticket price of the fair has been fixed at Tk 20.”
Jesmin Akter continued that arrangements have been made to provide free tickets to school children in this year’s fair, where attractive amusement parks have been set up for kids’ entertainment.
“Necessary measures including a police camp, CCTV cameras, and private security guards have been deployed to ensure the security of the fair,” she added
