PHP Director Akhter appointed honorary consul of Malaysia

PHP Family Director Mohammed Akther Parvez, the youngest son of PHP Family Chairman Alhaj Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, has been appointed Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Chattogram.

Bangladesh foreign ministry’s Chief of Protocol Nayem Uddin Ahmed handed over the Letter of Exequatur regarding the appointment to Akther Parvez at an event arranged at the ministry on Wednesday.

Malaysian Ambassador to Bangladesh Haznah Md Hashim was also present at the event.

The ambassador in her speech said that the relationship between Bangladesh and Malaysia is excellent. “Malaysia has always stood by Bangladesh and will continue to do so. The Malaysian government is happy to appoint an honest and dedicated person like Mohammed Akhter Parvez as Honorary Consul.

I hope the future relationship between Malaysia and Bangladesh will be stronger,” she said.

Mohammad Akhter Parvez, in his speech, said, “Malaysia is our great friend. I hope that the existing relations between the two countries will be strengthened in the future. I also expect the socio-economic relations between the two countries will widen and trade will increase.”
