Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that the Prime Minister has announced zero-tolerance policy against militancy and terrorism. And police have been able to create an investment-friendly environment in the country by working on that policy and maintaining law
and order.
“As a result, foreigners show interest to invest in this country which is moving forward economically,” he said after inaugurating the newly-constructed studio dormitory building of Sunamganj's Shalla Police Station on Friday.
Regarding law and order during the next election, the IGP said, “The police have been carrying out election duties for a long time. Bangladesh Police is ready to face any challenge in the coming days as well.”
The IGP also said, “After Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to power, the country sees a massive development in all areas. Bangladesh Police has also benefited from that development. Various projects have been undertaken to enhance the capacity of
Bangladesh Police.”
Sylhet Range Deputy Inspector General Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah and other officials were present at the programme.
