The health authorities want internet service to be slowed down on the day before the MBBS and BDS admission test this year.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque said this while talking to reporters at the ministry’s conference room on Monday afternoon after attending an inter-ministerial meeting on the admission test of the MBBS and BDS courses of the academic year 2022-2023.
Mentioning that they have almost completed the preparations for the test to be held on March 10, the minister said that as security measures for the admission test, they will request (the authorities concerned) to slow the internet.
Security will be stepped up at the examination centres so that nothing untoward can take place, he added, urging all the health officials to help them hold the admission test peacefully.
The minister also hopes that those who will invigilate the exams and those who will prepare the question paper will work very sincerely. Special teams will also be there to conduct the whole exams.
He informed that coaching centres will remain closed on the day while no photocopy machines will be allowed to operate near the examination centres.
According to the minister, the circular for the admission test was published on February 9 and February 23 was the last date for application. The students who have got minimum GPA-4.5 both in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams can apply for admission.
