Eid journey was comfortable: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said the people cel-ebrated this Eid-ul-Fitr without any hassle as the Eid journey of the home-bound people was comfortable.

“We have been able to celebrate a hassle-free Eid this time. Eid journey was relaxing this time. Such hassle-free journey didn’t happen for many years. The Prime Minister is also happy,” he said.

He asked all concerned to maintain discipline on streets very strictly to avert any road accidents during the post-Eid period. It is seen that though the number of road accidents remains lesser before Eid, it increases in the post-Eid period, he said.

“I am asking all concerned that you will have to make your best efforts to make the return journey of Eid holidaymakers safe and disciplined,” he said.
