BIDA to expand OSS services

Online platform “One Stop Service (OSS)” of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is all set to launch four new services of three organisations to facilitate ease of doing business for the investors.

As a result, investors can avail a total of 67 services from the OSS portal, maintain by BIDA.

BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah will inaugurate these services at the BIDA office in Agargaon in the capital on Tuesday, according to sources at BIDA.

BIDA has signed memorandums of understanding with 39 organisations to include their services in OSS, they said.

Until now, BIDA has been providing 45 services of 22 organisations through the OSS, in addition to BIDA’s own 18 services. As a result, investors are currently getting 63 services. Four new services will be added to these services from today.

Moreover, two new BIDA services are going to be added to the OSS. The integrated activities have already been completed to provide a total of four services, including one from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) and one from the Chattogram Development Authority (CDA). As a result, a total of 67 services will be provided online through OSS, including 20 of BIDA’s own services and 47 services of 22 other organisations.

Among the new four services, CDA will provide occupancy certificate, RJSC will provide name clearance and company registration service in a single application and BIDA will provide use of VIP lounge and permission for seven wavers.

BIDA is already providing the following: Industrial project registration, office permission (New), office permission (Extension), Office Permission (Amendment), Office Permission (Cancellation), Visa Recommendation (New), Visa Recommendation (Amendment), Work Permit (New), Work Permit (Extension), Work Permit (Amendment), Work Permit (Cancellation), Visa on Arrival, Visa on arrival (Amendment), Remittance Approval, IRC Recommendation (1st Adhoc), IRC Recommendation (2nd Adhoc), Amendment of Registration and IRC Recommendation (3rd Adhoc).

Other organization are providing following services: Register of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) has been provided services - Name Clearance, Company Registration (Local), Brach/Liaison/Representative Office permission.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) providing: e-TIN, e-BIN and e-TIN for Foreign Nationals, Sonali Bank Ltd services - Online Payment and Online Bank Account Opening, Election Commission Bangladesh service - Applicant’s NID Verification.
