ICAB elects new president

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected its new president, and vice presidents of the Institute for the year 2023.

Md Moniruzzaman has been elected as president, while Md Yasin Miah, MBM Lutful Hadee and Md Johirul Islam as vice presidents, read an ICAB press release.

The new office bearers were elected by the members of the Council at the Council Meeting held on Saturday, which was presided over by the current ICAB President Md Shahadat Hossain.

Md Moniruzzaman will take over as the president of ICAB on 01 January 2023. He is a senior partner of ACNABIN Chartered Accountants and served ICAB as the vice president for Operations & Members Services for 2019.

Md Yasin Miah is the proprietor of MM Yasin, Chartered Accountants. MBM Lutful Hadee is the proprietor of Hadee Lutful & Co (HLC), Chartered Accountants, a dynamic consulting and advisory firm in the country.

Hadee has been serving on the Standing Committee of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) on Customs, VAT, Taxation & NBR Related Issues. Md Johirul Islam is a partner of A Qasem & Co, Chartered Accountants, a member firm of Ecovis International.
