All banks have been instructed to keep their branches open from 10am to 3pm on April 13before the beginning of a seven-day countrywide restriction on movement from April 14.
The central bank took the decision on Monday to extend the banking hour by two hours.
However, banks and financial institutions will remain closed across Bangladesh during the second phase of lockdown from April 14 to April 21.
