Banks asked to settle client complaints within 10 days

The Bangladesh Bank has directed banks to settle clients’ complaints within 10 days, adding the deadline should not cross 45 days under any circumstances.

It issued a notice in this regard on Monday, saying banks would have to form a cell supervised by their chief executives to deal with such complaints.

The central bank has found that most banks do not receive clients’ complaints, which prompted it to issue the notice.
