Banks and financial institutions will remain closed across Bangladesh during the second phase of lockdown from April 14 to April 21 aiming at thwarting spread of COVID-19
Bangladesh Bank executive director Md Sirajul Islam informed this on Monday evening.
Besides the branches of scheduled banks, sub-branch, booth banking, and agent banking services would also remain closed.
But the ATM booths, and online banking services including internet banking would remain open, he said.
The government on April 5, imposed the first phase of lockdown which went lax.
