Banks to function with 50% employees

All banks will run with half of their officials and staff from Monday till February 6 following the health safety rules in order to contain the Covid-19 infection. 

However, in order to continue the essential banking services, the concerned institution can take decision to fix the number of employees as per their requirement.

Meanwhile, the other half of the officials and staff cannot leave their respective work areas and will work online, said a notification was issued by the Bangladesh Bank on Monday.

Clients will have to wear facemask on a mandatory basis while taking service from banks.

The BB has given the instructions as per the decisions taken by the government.
