The Bangladesh Bank has relaxed the process of paying online visa processing fees, allowing international cards (debit or prepaid) for such payments.
It issued a notice on Wednesday, saying the move was aimed at facilitating smooth transactions.

In this context, the authorised dealer (AD) banks would be able to issue international cards in the name of officials designated by the nominated agents, the notice said.
The central bank also advised the AD banks to report such foreign exchange transactions to the Foreign Exchange Operation Department.
