Families of bank officials who die of COVID-19 will get Tk 50 lakh in compensation, while in case of trainee officials the compensation will be Tk 37.50 lakh and for staff or sub-staff it will be Tk 25 lakh, said a Bangladesh Bank circular issued on Monday.
It said the order will be effective from March 29, 2020 and will remain effective until further order.
The circular said the compensation will be paid to the family members following the existing rules of Bangladesh Bank.
