ICMAB receives 20 copies of book on investment in Bangladesh

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh received 20 copies of a book titled “Basic Issues of Private Investment and Business-Bangladesh Perspective” written by Abu Sayed Md Shaykhul Islam.

In a simple ceremony on May 29, the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) president Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA accompanied by vice presidents Md Mamunur Rashid FCMA and Md Munirul Islam FCMA, past president of ICMAB Md Jasim Uddin Akond FCMA and past treasurer and council member Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA received the books. AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA, President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), was also present on the occasion.

The book features a range of issues including private investment, prospects, problems and procedures of doing business in Bangladesh. The 2nd edition of the book also focuses on public financial management, corporate governance code, company secretarial functions, capital market and the United Nations’ sustainable development goals related to trade and industry. The book has been selected as a reference book in the new curriculum for the ICMAB students.
