Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority has approved the appointment of Md Shah Jamal Howlader as Chief Executive Officer of NRB Islamic Life Insurance Ltd.
Md Shah Jamal Howlader’s appointment has been approved for the next 3 years from May 9, 2021, through a letter issued on October 3, 2021, signed by IDRA Director Shah Alam.
The letter was issued to the Chairman of NRB Islamic Life Insurance Ltd as per proposal and documents submitted by the Board of Directors of NRB Islamic Life in compliance with Insurance Law 2010 and fulfilling Insurance Company (CEO Appointment) Rules 2012.
Md Shah Jamal Howlader has 24 years’ successful experience in life insurance sector.
He started his life insurance professional career in 1997 with Meghna Life Insurance Company.
Later, he worked in various important positions with Popular Life, Padma Islami Life, Prime Islami Life, Protective Islami Life and Best Life Insurance companies.
During his long career, he became a successful leader in Management, Administration and Business Development of Insurance Industry.
He performed the responsibility of Deputy Managing Director and Senior Deputy Managing Director of Protective Islami Life and Best Life Insurance respectively.
He completed BA Honors and Masters in Islami Studies. Howlader attended various training programmes in Insurance Business Development, Management and Sales & Marketing at home and abroad.
Howlader was born in 1980 in a respectable Muslim family in Barishal and he lives a happy personal life with his wife and 3 children.
