Optimum Solution gets PSO licence

The Bangladesh Bank has awarded licence to Optimum Solution and Services Limited as a payment system operator (PSO) to provide various payment acceptance services to merchants.

The company will render such services under the brand name of “Easy Payment System (EPS)”.

The Payment Systems Department (PSD) of the central bank issued a circular in this regard on Tuesday.

With the EPS, the number of PSOs now stands at seven.

The other six PSOs are — IT Consultants Ltd, SSL Commerz, Shurjo Mukhi, Portonics Limited, Walletmix, and Soft Tech Innovation Limited.

Optimum Solution and Services Limited, an IT-based company, has officially been operating since 2009, according to its website.

Managing Director Md Shah Alam said, “As we have got the licence, the company is going to start its operations as a payment system operator soon.”
