Khondoker Rashed Maqsood has left Standard Bank Limited (SBL) after completing a three years contract period as Managing Director and CEO.

Maqsood was appointed as MD and CEO of the shariah based bank in January 2020.

Prior to joining SBL, he was the managing director of NRBC Bank, and also worked as the managing director & country officer of Citibank NA Bangladesh.

However, he has no plan to join anywhere soon.

“I am not joining anywhere soon, and eagerly looking forward to some relaxed time ahead and plan to enjoy the freedom and life for a while,” said the experienced banker.

Maqsood started his career at American Express Bank in Dhaka in 1992 as a management trainee, and later joined the Corporate Banking Group.

The senior banker completed his MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University, in 1992.
