Former senior secretary Shamima Nargis has joined as the chairman of Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) following a recent circular of the Financial Institutions Division.
Prior to her retirement from civil service, she served as a member of the Planning Commission in the capacity of senior secretary, a press release said on Monday.
In her long career, she also served in different divisions and ministries, like the Economic Relations Division, Finance Division, Local Government Division, Ministry of Public Administration, and Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
Shamima Nargis joined the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1988, the release added.
