Light to moderate rain across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers across the country over 24 hours, starting from 9am Tuesday.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet; and at many places over Khulna with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a regular BMD bulletin.

Highest rainfall, 141mm, in the country was recorded in Barishal’s Khepupara in 24 hours till 6am today.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged across the country, read the bulletin.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
