A low pressure area has formed over west-central Bay and adjoining north-west Bay, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department(BMD) has said.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers may drench different parts of the country, said a BMD bulletin on Tuesday.
It predicted rain or thundershowers at many places over Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions, at a few places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Besides, a mild heatwave is sweeping Dhaka, Rajshahi, Pabna, Feni and Chuadanga and it may continue, the Met Office said.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
