Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in eight divisions, including Dhaka, over 24 hours starting from 9am Sunday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at many places under Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet; at a few places in Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal; and at one or two places over Rajshahi, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Sylhet division,” said a regular bulletin of the Met office.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it reads.
Earlier, the well-marked low-pressure area over northeast Bay and adjoining area weakened into a low pressure area.
The weather office recorded the highest rainfall of 62mm in Chattogram and Noakhali in 24 hours till 6am Sunday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 22.7 degrees in Gopalganj.
