Srimangal in Sylhet recorded the lowest temperature in the country – at 8.5 degrees Celsius – on Tuesday morning, while the highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 29.4 degrees Celsius in Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted dry weather with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing at 9am.
“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country,” read a Met office bulletin issued Tuesday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning. Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
The sun will set at 5:24pm on Tuesday and rise at 6:42am on Wednesday in the capital.
