City Bank has inaugurated its third American Express (Amex) Lounge at the domestic terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital on Tuesday.
Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman inaugurated the lounge, the bank said in a statement.
City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser and Director Tabassum Kaiser attended the event as the special guests.
The bank’s Managing Director and CEO Mashrur Arefin, Dhansiri Communications Ltd Managing Director Shomi Kaiser, City Bank’s Additional Managing Directors Sheikh Mohammad Maroof and Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, among others, were present.
The facilities at the lounge are complementary for American Express Platinum & Gold card holders. The guests will enjoy 5-star experience in this luxurious wave themed premise. The lounge is designed to provide the guests with state-of-the-art facilities including business center, prayer room, high speed wifi and dedicated American Express card service desk.
The spacious buffet area provides a multi-cuisine array of food and beverages prepared by Intercontinental Dhaka. The lounge also includes a ‘Mujib Corner’, which is a mini-library named ‘Mukthijuddho o Bangladesh - Research Center’ where travelers will read about the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman congratulated City Bank on launching this special service and expressed his satisfaction with the bank's joining the government's efforts to ease the comfort of passengers travelling through the airports of the country.
Aziz Al Kaiser said the opening of City Bank American Express domestic lounge is the testimony to the bank’s commitment of delivering world-class service to its card members. He ensured that further addition of facilities for City Bank Amex card members
will continue.
