A delegation of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology has met the President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries, Md Jashim Uddin.
The BUET team led by Assistant Professor Dr Taufiq Hasan met the FBCCI president at the latter’s office in the capital recently, said a press release.
Dr Taufiq Hasan, during the meeting, talked on the shortage of intensive care units (ICU) and oxygen in treating Covid-19 patients across the country. He mentioned of OxyJet, during the meet, which is a low-cost non-invasive ventilator to designed to treat Covid-19 patients.
He said that BUET researchers have already produced a number of OxyJet. The FBCCI president assured the BUET team of all kinds of financial assistance for the development of the new device.
