IFAD Group gives food aid to transport workers

One of the leading business entities of the country, IFAD Group, recently distributed food items among transport workers who went out of work due to the ongoing lockdown.

The group distributed various food items to around two thousand transport workers in the capital’s Mohakhali bus stand area.

The food items included rice, lentils, flour, potato, oil, salt, biscuit and puffed rice.

Managing Director of IFAD Group, Tanvir Ahmed said that transport workers are going through hardship as they are being unable to get out on the streets amid the ongoing lockdown. As a result, thousands of workers are currently jobless. IFAD is providing food aid to these workers as part of its social responsibly, Tanvir Ahmed added.

Deputy Managing Director of IFAD Group, Taskin Ahmed on the occasion said that the group stays beside people whenever there is a crisis. He said that the group will continue its support for the people in need in the future as well.
