UITS celebrates its 18th founding anniversary

The University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) celebrated its 18th founding anniversary on Saturday.

The university organised a virtual discussion as part of its celebration of the anniversary. Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman, Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, was present as the chief guest at the discussion which was also attended by Member of Parliament, Bodruddoza Md. Farhad Hossain.

Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of Board of Trustees of UITS & PHP Family, was the chief discussant at the programme. Professor Dr. Mohammed Solaiman, Vice Chancellor of UITS, moderated the event.

The University of Information Technology and Sciences is an institution which the PHP Family had set up to promote higher education at low cost for youths in the country. Former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam attended the first convocation of UITS.
