HSBC Bangladesh has been crowned the best International Retail Bank-2021 in Bangladesh by Hong Kong based Asian Banking and Finance awards.
The award recognises the strengths of the bank’s personal banking capabilities and the commitment to offer the best of international connectivity for valued customers, said a press release.
It also acknowledges the innovation, resilience and unwavering focus on customer service that has been delivered during the unprecedented challenging times.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused several uncertainties amongst multiple industries and the financial sector is no exception. With the ever-changing customer preferences and increased comfort with digital products and services, financial institutions who were able to adapt and leverage digital technology are able to provide to customers and benchmark themselves against market competition.

The ABF Retail Banking Awards honors outstanding banks that have introduced groundbreaking retail banking products and services that proved to be industry game changer.

Another Bangladeshi bank, Mutual Trust Bank Ltd (MTB) has recently been awarded the prestigious Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2021 for ‘Core Banking System Initiative of the Year.
