Automation of services, student registration launched by ICAB

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has launched the automation of service and student registration process through a virtual ceremony.

The programme titled ‘Automation of Members Service and Student Registration Process’ was held on Wednesday, said a press release.

State Minister for Social Welfare Md. Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru attended the ceremony as the chief guest and inaugurated the online services. ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA delivered the address of welcome.

Md Humayun Kabir FCA, Member Council and Past President of ICAB moderated the ceremony. ICAB Vice President Md. Abdul Kader Joaddar FCA and Council member Mohammed Forkan Uddin FCA jointly presented keynote papers of the event. ICAB Vice President Maria Howlader FCA delivered the closing remarks.

State Minister for Social Welfare Md. Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru said, Bangladesh has now become a digital Bangladesh as a result of timely steps taken by the Bangladesh government. ICAB is playing a significant role in building a digital Bangladesh in line with the government. Lauding the ICAB’s initiative of DVS (Data Verification System), the state minister said, automation of members services and registration process of ICAB will further increase the efficiency of employees and the members and students will get more benefits from the system.

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA said, “ICAB has taken 17 automation projects during this year. As part of these 17 projects, we are going to inaugurate the major two projects namely “Members Service & Student Registration Automation”.

With the inception of these new platforms, the members and students will be able to get their services at ease and efficient manner from any convenient location, he said adding that they can save their valuable time, articulate their needs and demands and also get their desired services in a digitalised way which will ultimately increase the quality of overall activities of ICAB as a whole.
