Business leaders remember late Anwar Hossain

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) held a condolence meeting to recall the contributions of late Anwar Hossain, Founder Chairman of Anwar Group of Industries, to the country’s economy.

The event was held at the chamber’s auditorium in the capital on Saturday. Business leaders, friends, well-wishers, family members, lawmaker joined the programme. DCCI President Rizwan Rahman moderated the session.

Former Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed remembered late Anwar Hossain with profound respect. He referred to Anwar Hossain as an honest and ethical businessman who created 22 industries employing 14000 workforces. Tofail said young business leaders have a lot to learn from Anwar Hossain.

DCCI President Rizwan Rahman said that late Anwar Hossain wanted to create employment opportunities for at least 50 thousand people in his lifetime. He was a kind hearted leader who never made any difference between his family members and workers.
