Silken Sewing Limited has been allocated with six acres of land in Jamalpur Economic Zone for setting up a fabric factory.
In this regard, the company signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) at the latter’s Dhaka office on Thursday, said a press release.
As per the deal, Silken Sewing will invest $9 million and set up an export-oriented knitting-dyeing fabric factory in the economic zone.
The factory is expected to create employment opportunities for a total of 1,012 people.
At the signing event, Ali Ahsan, executive member (Investment Development) of the BEZA, and M Enamul Haque, managing director of Silken Sewing, inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
