eGeneration organizes int’l technology conference

System integration and software solutions company eGeneration organized a virtual Java Conference titled “eGeneration presents – Java Developers’ Conference” on Saturday last.

The event was co-organized by Startup Hub Nepal, Women in Tech Asia and Nigeria Feeds the World Initiative, in partnership with CTO Forum Bangladesh and Java User Group Bangladesh.

The Java Conference brought together global Java experts and IT professionals from various regions, said a news release.

According to the release, Java has over the years blossomed into one of the top five preferred languages for software development and is currently used by more than 90 per cent of the Fortune 500 companies. Today, there are nearly 8 million Java programmers worldwide and the number is only expected to rise.

The conference addressed this exponentially growing demand of Java Technology worldwide and aimed to connect the existing and aspiring Java professionals with the worldwide Java community and employers to help them build a career in the vast field of Java.

In his speech, Shameem Ahsan, Managing Director, eGeneration said, “A country like Bangladesh with a median age of just under 30 and a high adoption of technology among our youth will never likely see a shortage of talents in the field of IT. With the encouragement from the government, proper training, and support from our community, we can nurture these talents to build winning teams and become champions in the global stage by harnessing the power of Java and transforming Bangladesh into an innovation led high-tech nation."
