BASIS’s 22nd AGM held

The 22nd annual general meeting of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services was held at RAOWA Convention center in the capital on Saturday.

In the meeting, BASIS highlighted to continue contribution of the organization on the path to build a digital Bangladesh. At the same time, it is urged from the meeting to prepare the nation for the fifth industrial revolution besides facing the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution from now, said a news release.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) president Syed Almas Kabir presided over the meeting while Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Vice President (Admin) briefed the members about BASIS 2020’s activities through his presentation.

Mushfiqur Rahman, Vice President (Finance) presented audit report for the year 2019-2020. After the presentation a significant number of members took part in the discussion session and gave their views.

Syed Almas Kabir said, “Our world is now experiencing unimaginable advances of digital technology. In the upcoming days, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, Quantum Computing, Biotechnology, Robotics, IOT, 5G, 3D printing and fully automated vehicle technology will radically change the world as we know now.
