OBHAI rides will only accept digital payments through bKash and Visa services as the company has fully introduced digital payment method.

According to a media statement on Thursday, OBHAI passengers will no longer need to carry cash to pay the drivers making the process quicker, smoother and safer.

“OBHAI’s cash-less fully digital, and contactless payment settlements via bKash or Visa mirror the requirement of the current need of staying safe in a pandemic ravaging life of our drivers, and passengers”- said OBHAI Solutions Limited Head of Finance Azizur

Rahman.

A special discount offered to bKash users will bring greater joy to OBHAI passengers creating a smoother transition. All OBHAI drivers will also be able to help passengers without any digital options to open new bKash accounts if needed to ease their transition into the future of payments.

Drivers taking regular rides with OBHAI have also welcomed this digital transformation initiative as it means reduced hassle and risk of cash handling. With bKash’s proprietary driver payment solution through OBHAI, the drivers are getting their receivables from the fare received digitally in the shortest time which is a huge relief to them.

Contactless digital fare settlements may usher greater safety to drivers, and passengers reducing the risks of carrying cash during the evenings because of shorter daylight hours of forthcoming pleasant winter days, said the

statement.

Most of the OBHAI vehicles are fitted with OBHAI Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) to track the real-time position of the vehicle as well as track the driver’s location with the help of the driver’s app offered by OBHAI’s 24x7 Emergency Response team.

OBHAI also offers OBHAI Express, an on-demand express delivery services for consumers to send their shipments from anywhere in Bangladesh to any destinations in Bangladesh while serving Business to Business (B2B) commerce of major multinational consumer, and healthcare brands, replenishing modern, high frequency retails, pharmacies with reverse logistics services to manage returned, and expired products.

With this digitalization, OBHAI aims to drive into a new era of ride-sharing-a safer, faster, and more convenient one for all, it added.
